Job summary

Compass Resourcing Group, LLC is seeking a Pump Technician/Mechanic for a first shift role at a leading industrial pump manufacturer's service center in Shreveport, LA. The candidate will teardown, troubleshoot, repair and reassemble centrifugal pumps in a climate-controlled shop.

Requirements include 5+ years pump repair experience (not installation), experience with OEM or major pump repair shops, API pump repair, and familiarity with pump metallurgy and rotating equipment clearances.

Qualifications

• 5+ years overall pump repair experience (not installation).
• Experience at an OEM or significant pump repair shop.
• Repair experience on API type pumps.
• Familiar with pump metallurgy fundamentals and rotating equipment operation and clearances.
• Extensive experience performing repair and rebuild on various style pumps such as horizontal multistage, vertical, overhung, split case, etc.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments (analog mics, dial calipers, depth gauges, etc.).
• Must have a good set of hand tools with sockets & wrenches up to 1".

Responsibilities

• Tear down, troubleshoot, repair and reassemble centrifugal pumps.
• Work in a climate-controlled shop environment and adhere to first shift schedule; overtime may be required.

Direct hire opportunity for a Pump Technician/Mechanic at an industry leading industrial pump manufacturer's service center. This position is located in Shreveport, LA and is only open to local candidates at this time - no relocation is available. Position is a first shift position working in a climate controlled shop environment. Technician will be tearing down, troubleshooting, repairing, and reassembling a variety or centrifugal pumps.

Technician:

• 5+ years overall pump repair experience (not installation)
• Experience at an OEM or significant pump repair shop
• Repair experience on API type pumps
• Familiar with pump metallurgy fundamentals and rotating equipment operation and clearances
• Extensive experience performing repair and rebuild on various style pumps such as, horizontal multistage, vertical, overhung, split case, etc.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments (analog mics, dial calipers, depth gauges, etc.)
• Must have a good set of hand tools with sockets & wrenches up to 1"
