Job summary

Compressor & Turbine Services LLC is seeking a seasoned career mechanic for hands-on disassembly, inspection, and precision repair of industrial pumps in a fast-paced shop environment in Houston. The role requires reading drawings, OEM specs, and maintaining tolerances with micrometers and calipers.

Applicants should have 5+ years with rotating equipment, a strong diagnostic mindset, and a valid driver’s license. Overtime and occasional field work are expected to meet customer deadlines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with rotating equipment and pump repair.
• Strong mechanical background with problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and OEM specifications.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed to meet customer deadlines.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; formal mechanical or technical training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, and repair industrial pumps of various makes and models.
• Reassemble equipment with attention to clearances, alignments, and dynamic balance when required.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.) to ensure tolerance compliance.
• Document all work performed, including measurements, parts used, and findings.
• Work in collaboration with machinists, engineers, and other mechanics to ensure job quality and timely completion.
• Follow all safety procedures, maintain a clean work environment, and contribute to a culture of safety and reliability.
• Occasionally support field jobs and on-site repairs, representing CTS in customer-facing environments.
