Job summary

Compass Resourcing Group, LLC seeks a manual machinist for its Shreveport service facility to machine parts for centrifugal pumps. Day shift: 7am–3:30pm; overtime and weekends may be required.

Experienced candidates should have at least 3 years operating manual lathes, mills, and radial drills, and read/interpret drawings with precision. HS diploma or GED required; certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong math and problem solving capabilities.
• Machine operating, machinist training, or vocational schooling experience is a plus.
• Proficient using hand tools, and measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Machining parts needed to repair, rebuild, or remanufacture centrifugal pumps (bearings, bearing housings, shafts, impellers, casings, flanges, etc.).
• Set up, run, and maintain manual lathes, mills, and radial drill machines.
• Read blueprints and adhere to standard machining tolerances (± .001").
