Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Pump Mechanic in Washington state. The role focuses on teardown, evaluation, documentation and repair of water pumps and product pumps used in irrigation and fluid handling.

You will perform removal, inspection, troubleshooting, installation, and precision sizing using micrometers and dial indicators, and contribute to accurate inspection reports and preventive maintenance. This position requires safety awareness and the ability to work on-site with a team.

Qualifications

• Must have strong mechanical knowledge and able to read precision measuring devices.
• Experience with pump disassembly, inspection and evaluation.
• Ability to troubleshoot pump and pumping equipment problems.

Responsibilities

• Removal, disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, and evaluate malfunctioning pumps and provide inspection reports.
• Record data to complete inspection reports and aid estimating and rebuild processes.
• Assess bearing, seal fit tolerances and runout on rotating assemblies.
• Install bearings, shafts, seals and mechanical seals; perform pump installation and laser alignment.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing pump-related issues with mechanical components and tolerances.
• Use micrometers, dial indicators, calipers and similar devices to ensure proper sizing.
• Utilize hand-held and stationary tools to service pumps; maintain clean work area.
