Job summary

Flow Control Group is seeking a Field Service Mechanic to inspect, repair, and service industrial pumps and rotating equipment in our Southeast operations. The role requires diagnosing problems, performing precision measurements, and adhering to safety standards in a dynamic shop and field environment.

The successful candidate will work with pumps, motors, valves, gearboxes, and related equipment, maintaining quality repairs and accurate documentation while supporting field service and outages

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Mechanical experience in industrial/manufacturing maintenance or rotating-equipment environments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read basic mechanical drawings and use precision measuring tools.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, disassemble, repair, rebuild, and assemble industrial pumps and rotating equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine causes of failure.
• Perform bearing, seal, packing, shaft, and impeller replacements.
• Measure components with precision tools and interpret drawings.
• Follow safety procedures and quality standards; assist with field service when needed.
