Job summary

Medical Affiliates of Cape Cod in Hyannis, MA is seeking a detail-oriented Scheduler/Receptionist to manage patient appointments, maintain provider schedules, and ensure timely communication with patients and staff.

You will handle inbound calls, verify demographics and insurance, reschedule and confirm appointments, and navigate the EMR system. This on-site role requires strong customer service, English fluency, and accurate data entry.

Qualifications

• English reading, writing and verbal communication required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year medical scheduling experience preferred.
• Experience with EMR/Health Records and MS Office preferred.
• Customer service excellence and strong interpersonal skills.
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
• Typing speed around 30 WPM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Primary contact for patient access and departmental coordination.
• Maintain provider schedules to meet productivity targets.
• Answer phones promptly and route calls with accurate messages.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments in the EMR.
• Verify demographics and payer information during scheduling.
• Notify clinicians of changes and manage cancellations/no-shows.
• Float to other MACC practices as needed and support front office.
