Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least one year of medical scheduling experience preferred.
• Experience with EMR and MS Office preferred.
• Excellent customer service and strong communication skills.
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
• Typing skills at 30 WPM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Primary contact for patient access for patients and other departments.
• Maintain provider schedules to achieve productivity targets and patient access.
• Answer the phone promptly and document messages in the EMR.
• Schedule, reschedule and cancel appointments and notify clinicians.
• Float to other MACC practices when required.
• Ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in all scheduling activities.
