Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MD) or DO from an accredited school.
• Completion of an accredited Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship.
• Active, unrestricted State Medical License.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary Disease.
• Strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality respiratory care in a community-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient evaluation, diagnosis, and long-term management for adult pulmonary conditions.
• Conduct inpatient pulmonary consultations and manage respiratory conditions for hospitalized patients.
• Perform and interpret bronchoscopic procedures, PFTs, and manage sleep-disordered breathing.
• Oversee non-invasive ventilation and long-term oxygen therapy in collaboration with Respiratory Care.
• Collaborate with primary care, radiology, oncology, thoracic surgery, and critical care teams.
• Utilize EPIC EHR for documentation and orders.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives and patient education in a rural setting.

Location: La Grande, OR (Rural Eastern Oregon)

Compensation: $550K - $600K+ per year

We are seeking an innovative and energetic Pulmonologist who enjoys professional autonomy and working with a supportive, caring group of healthcare professionals! You’ll join a growing specialty team at a Critical Access Hospital in beautiful rural Eastern Oregon, equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic tools including onsite Echo, EKG, and Stress testing. Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient evaluation, diagnosis, and long-term clinical management for adult pulmonary conditions, including COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, and lung nodules
• Conduct inpatient pulmonary consultations and manage respiratory conditions for hospitalized patients across medical units
• Perform and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including flexible bronchoscopy, thoracentesis, and pulmonary function tests (PFTs)
• Oversee non-invasive ventilation, long-term oxygen therapy, and specialized pulmonary therapies in collaboration with the hospital's dedicated Respiratory Care team
• Manage sleep-disordered breathing (such as obstructive and central sleep apnea) and review polysomnography/home sleep studies as applicable
• Collaborate closely with primary care providers, radiologists, oncologists, thoracic surgeons, and critical care teams to ensure seamless interdisciplinary care
• Utilize EPIC EHR for timely, accurate documentation, ordering, and clinical communication
• Participate in practice quality improvement initiatives, peer review processes, and patient education to support health outcomes in a rural community setting
