Job summary

Clay County Medical Center in Clay Center, KS seeks a Respiratory Therapist for a full-time role. A $30,000 sign-on bonus is offered for a two-year commitment. The therapist will deliver routine and advanced respiratory care, work with the medical staff, and support patient care across age groups.

Required: CoARC-accredited RT program and Associate degree, CRT or RRT credentials, Kansas licensure, and BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP credentials within 6 months. Hospitals setting preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC-accredited respiratory therapy program.
• Associate degree required.
• Must hold CRT or RRT credentials from NBRC and Kansas licensure.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP credentials; ACLS/PALS/NRP within 6 months of hire.
• One year of hospital experience preferred; new graduates welcome.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s condition and initiate therapy within guidelines.
• Administer inhaled medications and perform basic to advanced procedures.
• Operate and monitor respiratory life support devices safely.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and advise on patient care.
• Maintain accurate EMR knowledge and departmental records.
• Clean and maintain equipment per infection control guidelines.
• Educate patients and families on disease management and treatments.
• Perform diagnostic testing and therapeutic assessments for pulmonary patients.
