Qualifications

• Requires an Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent military training.
• Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RT) by state board at hire; NBRC Registered within 1 year.
• BLS/CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform pulmonary function tests including spirometry, lung volumes, DLCO, ABG draws, 6-minute walk, and CPET.
• Calibrate and maintain pulmonary function equipment per manufacturer and department standards.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and restore operation promptly.
• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize cardiopulmonary equipment per infection control guidelines.
• Schedule patients, handle registration and provide telephone support for the lab.
