Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments system wide for providers including specialty and ancillary services.
• Prepares prep instructions for ancillary and diagnostic procedures per guidelines.
• Collects and updates registration and insurance information for timely payment.
• Completes appointment scheduling, cancellations, and confirmations to match patient preferences.
• Processes referrals and obtains referrals for physician offices when required.
• Answers patient and referring physician questions about appointment status.
• Coordinates the hold and release of template slots within weeks.
• Facilitates physician-to-physician or department contact.
