AbbVie is seeking a Senior Lead Publications professional to oversee cross-functional teams and execute strategic publication plans for assigned assets. The role focuses on managing manuscripts, abstracts, posters and oral presentations while aligning with Scientific Communication Platforms and Medical Affairs objectives.

The ideal candidate will have 4–5 years in medical publications, a strong leadership track record, and fluency in communicating complex data to senior audiences.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees/certifications a plus.
• 4-5 years of medical/scientific publications experience required; pharma/medical communications background preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and staff development experience.
• Ability to interpret medical data and understand publications structures and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present to senior audiences.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet navigation.

Responsabilidades

• Lead a publications team to execute on publication plans for assigned assets.
• Manage cross-functional publications teams, drive plan execution with global stakeholders.
• Oversee tactical execution of publications (manuscripts, abstracts, posters, presentations) within timelines and budgets.
• Review publications for quality and alignment with platforms and communications outputs.
• Collaborate with Directors to align strategic publication plans and resource needs.
• Manage outsourcing budgets and internal resources for publications projects.
• Provide guidance to internal and external writers, ensuring quality outputs and adherence to policies.
• Coordinate with external vendors to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
• Conduct performance assessments and develop staff through training and feedback.
• Resolve publications-related issues and maintain accurate records and resourcing data.
