Job summary

AbbVie Inc. in the United States is seeking a senior Publications leader to oversee cross-functional teams and drive publication plans for therapeutic assets.

You will lead cross-functional meetings, coordinate manuscript development, abstracts, posters, and oral presentations to meet strategic objectives. The role requires 4–5 years of medical/scientific publications experience, leadership capabilities, and strong writing and presentation skills; familiarity with regulatory and publishing

Qualifications

• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree; PhD/PharmD preferred; CMPP/AMWA a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional Publications Team(s) for assigned assets and drive publication plan execution.
• Oversee tactical publication execution (manuscripts, abstracts, posters, talks) within timelines and budgets.
• Review publications for quality and alignment with platforms and strategies.
• Partner with Directors to align publication strategy with plans and resource needs.
• Manage budgeting, outsourcing, and internal resources for publications.
