AbbVie seeks a senior Publications Leader to drive cross-functional team execution of strategic publication plans across assets. You will oversee clinical manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations, coordinating with global stakeholders and ensuring timely, compliant deliverables.

Ideal candidates bring 4–5 years in medical/scientific publications within pharma, and hold a Bachelor’s or higher degree; CMPP/AMWA credentials are a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum a Bachelor's Degree required; PhD, PharmD or Master's preferred.
• 4-5 years of medical/scientific publications experience in pharma or related field.
• Certification/credential (e.g., CMPP, AMWA) a plus.

Aufgaben

• Serve as the leader of cross-functional Publications Team(s) for assigned assets, including leading team meetings and driving publication plan execution.
• Lead tactical execution of publication plans (clinical manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and oral presentations) within timelines and budgets.
• Review all publications in assigned TA to ensure quality and alignment with Scientific Communication Platforms and supporting communications.
• Partner with Scientific Communications Director to transfer strategic plan into publication plan and tactics.
• Partner with Publications Director to project and manage outsourcing budget and internal resource needs for assigned/assets.
• Provide managerial oversight to internal and external medical writers regarding assigned projects, ensuring high-quality outputs and adherence to Publication Policy and Procedures.
• Direct external vendors to complete publication projects within timelines and ensure quality publication deliverables.
• Ensure performance assessments, training, feedback, and talent retention for assigned staff.
• Address and resolve publications-related issues for assigned therapeutic areas and assets; ensure publication records and resourcing tools are accurate.
