Job summary

The City of Kingman is seeking a Transportation Maintenance Manager to lead the operation and maintenance of the city’s transportation infrastructure, including streets, drainage, and traffic control devices, while ensuring safety and service reliability.

You will develop training matrices for asphalt and drainage, maintain asset stewardship, and coordinate across Public Works divisions to align priorities with capital planning and contract administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, Transportation Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in transportation maintenance, streets operations, or related public infrastructure services.
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory, lead, or management experience in transportation/public works field operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee transportation infrastructure maintenance of streets, rights-of-way, drainage features, and traffic control devices.
• Develop and maintain training matrices for asphalt and drainage maintenance, equipment qualifications, and safety.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Utilities and other departments to align projects and resources.
• Assist in developing transportation operating and capital budgets and monitor expenditures.
