Job summary

City of Kingman seeks a Transportation Maintenance Manager to lead the Transportation Maintenance programs and Public Works field operations, ensuring safe roadways, reliable service delivery, and proactive upkeep of drainage and pavement assets.

Under the Assistant Public Works Director you will develop training matrices, oversee budgets, coordinate with Engineering, Development Services and Utilities, and supervise street and maintenance staff to meet city-wide objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, Transportation Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field is preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in transportation maintenance, streets operations, public works operations, infrastructure maintenance, construction, or closely related public infrastructure services.
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory, lead, or management experience in transportation, public works, construction, maintenance, or a closely related field operations environment.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, certifications, and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee the operation and maintenance of the City’s transportation infrastructure.
• Develop, implement, and maintain training matrices related to asphalt and drainage maintenance operations.
• Demonstrate interdepartmental coordination across Public Works divisions and with other City departments.
• Administer transportation operating and capital budgets, monitor expenditures and staffing needs.
