Job summary

The City of Kingman seeks a Street Maintenance Operations Supervisor to lead maintenance and construction projects within Public Works. You will plan daily tasks, mentor a field crew, and ensure work meets high-quality standards and deadlines.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in public works or construction, with supervisory experience in a public sector setting. CDLs and NIMS readiness are preferred, with safety and compliance as top priorities.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a high school or GED, with construction/maintenance coursework.
• 3–5 years’ experience in construction and maintenance in Public Works.
• 2 years of supervisory experience; public sector experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a crew, schedule daily tasks, and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Oversee field operations for streets, parking lots, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and related infrastructure.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor projects with the Assistant Public Works Director.
• Prepare budgets, track expenditures, and manage resources for street maintenance programs.
• Serve as liaison with the public and other departments to communicate plans and progress.
