Job summary

Ogden City Government is seeking an entry-level worker to support city utility and public works systems across streets, water transmission, wastewater collection, and irrigation projects.

You will operate equipment such as dump trucks, graders, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, bucket trucks, and snowplows in various Department projects and sites, with responsibilities spanning construction, maintenance and repair.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of general work experience in related field.
• Ability to work on-call and respond to city calls within 30 minutes.
• Lift 50–75 pounds routinely and obtain class A CDL with tanker endorsement within 180 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain heavy equipment (dump trucks, graders, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, bucket trucks, snowplows).
• Perform construction, maintenance and repair across Streets, Water, Sewer projects.
• Assist in installation and servicing of public works infrastructure.
