Job summary

Alexander Associates Technical Recruitment is partnering with a well-established engineering consultancy in Houston to appoint a Public Works Project Manager. You will oversee a varied portfolio of municipal infrastructure projects, including water, wastewater, drainage, utilities and land development, from planning through construction.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Texas Professional Engineer license, plus strong PM and client-facing skills to manage multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Texas Professional Engineer license preferred.
• Experience managing public works or municipal infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of water, wastewater, drainage, utilities or land development.

Responsibilities

• Manage public infrastructure projects from planning and design through construction.
• Deliver municipal utility, MUD, water, wastewater, drainage and development projects.
• Establish project scope, schedules, budgets and delivery requirements.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineers, designers and technical staff.
• Maintain relationships with municipal clients, utility districts and other public agencies.
• Review plans, specifications, engineering reports and cost estimates.
• Coordinate permitting, bidding and construction-phase services.
• Assist with proposals, presentations and business-development activities.
• Mentor junior staff and support the development of the local team.

I am working with a well-established engineering consultancy that is looking to appoint a Public Works Project Manager to support its continued growth in the Houston market.

The position will involve managing a varied portfolio of municipal infrastructure projects, including water, wastewater, drainage, utility, MUD and land development assignments.

Salary: $125,000-$175,000 depending on experience

Job Specifications:

• Manage public infrastructure projects from planning and design through construction

Key Requirements:
