Job summary

IDS Engineering Group is seeking a Project Engineer or Project Manager with 2–6 years of Public Works experience to plan, design, and deliver municipal infrastructure projects in Georgia and surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate will hold an E.I.T certification (P.E. licensure preferred for PM) and be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office. You will coordinate with municipalities, utility agencies, clients, and regulators while managing schedules, budgets, and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of Public Works experience for Engineer track or 4–6 years for PM track.
• E.I.T certification required; P.E. license required for PM candidates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction plans, specifications, and designs for Public Works infrastructure projects.
• Perform engineering calculations, analyses, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with Municipalities, Utility Agencies, clients, and regulatory authorities.
• Assist with project management activities, including schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
• Conduct site visits and review construction progress for compliance with project requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineers, Designers, and Technical staff to develop practical and efficient solutions.

IDS Engineering Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer or Project Manager with 2–6 years of experience in Public Works projects within Harris County and surrounding areas. Candidates with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, or those with an Engineer in Training (E.I.T) certification and actively pursuing licensure are encouraged to apply.
