Job summary

Alexander Associates Technical Recruitment is assisting a leading engineering consultancy in Houston to hire an experienced Wastewater Project Manager for municipal infrastructure projects in the Greater Houston area.

The role involves managing wastewater collection, conveyance, pumping and treatment projects, developing trusted relationships with municipal and utility clients, and leading multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or related engineering discipline.
• Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Municipal wastewater engineering experience preferred.
• Strong project-management and client-facing capabilities.
• Ability to manage concurrent projects, budgets and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage wastewater engineering projects from planning through construction.
• Lead the design of collection systems, pipelines, lift stations and treatment infrastructure.
• Establish project scope, budgets, schedules and technical requirements.
• Coordinate engineers, designers and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Maintain regular communication with municipal and utility clients.
• Review plans, specifications, reports, calculations and cost estimates.
• Oversee permitting, bidding and construction-phase support.
• Assist with proposals, presentations and client-development initiatives.
• Mentor junior engineers and support technical development within the team.

I am working with a leading engineering consultancy that is seeking an experienced Wastewater Project Manager to deliver municipal infrastructure projects throughout Greater Houston.

The position will involve managing wastewater collection, conveyance, pumping and treatment projects while developing trusted relationships with municipal and utility clients.

Salary: $130,000-$185,000 depending on experience
