Job summary

Alexander Associates Technical Recruitment is seeking a Land/Site Development Project Manager to join our Houston team. This role will oversee residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use development projects in the Greater Houston area.

The successful candidate will manage scopes, budgets, and schedules while coordinating with designers, municipalities and clients to deliver successful projects and drive growth of the Houston operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Texas Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain one.
• Experience in land or site development engineering.
• Experience managing civil projects and teams.
• Knowledge of grading, drainage, utilities and stormwater management.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage land development projects from initial planning through construction.
• Oversee project scope, budgets, schedules and technical deliverables.
• Coordinate grading, drainage, paving, utility and stormwater design.
• Lead and mentor engineers, designers and technical staff.
• Maintain regular communication with clients and project stakeholders.
• Coordinate with municipalities, reviewing authorities and external consultants.
• Review engineering plans, reports, calculations and specifications.
• Assist with proposals, client development and new project opportunities.
• Support the continued growth of the Houston operation.

I am working with a growing multidisciplinary engineering consultancy that is looking to appoint a Land/Site Development Project Manager to its Houston team.

The position will involve managing residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use development projects while supporting clients throughout the Greater Houston region.

Salary: $120,000-$165,000 depending on experience

Job Specifications:

• Manage land development projects from initial planning through construction
• Oversee project scope, budgets, schedules and technical deliverables
• Coordinate grading, drainage, paving, utility and stormwater design
• Lead and mentor engineers, designers and technical staff
• Maintain regular communication with clients and project stakeholders

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Texas Professional Engineer license, or the ability to obtain one
• Previous land or site development engineering experience
• Experience managing civil engineering projects and project teams
• Working knowledge of grading, drainage, utilities and stormwater management
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred
• Strong communication, organization and client-management skills
• Knowledge of the Houston development market would be beneficial
