Job description

Corcoran is now hiring for Public Works Operations Maintenance Worker

The Operations Maintenance Worker provides maintenance of roads, drainage, wastewater and surface water collection, water distribution, equipment maintenance, and parks and buildings. They perform heavy equipment operation, operation of power tools, and physical labor as needed. They are also responsible for providing public service and for preservation of public assets through timely attention to problems and careful operation, including attention to safety procedures.

Minimum qualifications include:

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Two years of experience in the operation of power tools, trucks, and heavy equipment, or completing vehicle/equipment maintenance, or equivalent
3. A Class A driver’s license and DOT Medical Card (must be obtained within 12 months)
4. Ability to respond to emergency calls within 30 minutes
5. Possibility of obtaining licenses necessary to operate water and sanitary sewer systems
6. Additional post-hire training may be required
