The City of Manhattan in Kansas seeks a Maintenance Technician to support Public Works/Public Utilities. You will assist in maintenance across street, stormwater, wastewater, water distribution, and traffic operations, contributing to public health and safety.

You will record work performed and collaborate with contractors, with overtime/on-call opportunities as needed. Requirements include a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and a CDL within 90 days; Work Zone certification within 24

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• CDL Class A with airbrakes and tanker endorsement must be obtained within 90 days of employment (Class B for Traffic division).
• Work Zone certification must be obtained within 24 months of employment.

• Operates trucks, heavy equipment, and power/hand tools.
• Performs routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain safe worksites and respond to inquiries about the division.
• Maintain records of work completed and coordinate with contractors.
• Occasionally work overtime and respond to emergencies as needed.
