Job summary

City of Richland Hills is seeking a general laborer to maintain streets, drainage, water and wastewater infrastructure under supervision. This role involves heavy manual labor, operating light and heavy equipment, and assisting with utilities field activities.

You will support other departments as needed, follow safety rules, participate in required training, and be available for standby shifts. The city offers competitive pay, TMRS retirement, insurance, paid leave, and a compressed work

Qualifications

Requires high school diploma or equivalent and some manual labor or construction experience.
Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with a good driving record.
Ability to obtain Texas Water Operator licenses within two years.

Responsibilities

Set up barricades and act as flagger for traffic around job sites.
Repair and maintain roadways; maintain landscaping; clear trash and debris.
Operate hand and power tools in support of streets, drainage, water, and wastewater projects.
Learn and perform tasks related to street and infrastructure maintenance.
Maintain vehicles and equipment; report problems and perform minor maintenance.
Follow safety guidelines and attend required training; standby shift may be required.
