Job summary

North Richland Hills City Hall is seeking a full-time heavy equipment operator to support water, wastewater, and storm drain projects. You will prepare and operate construction gear, perform maintenance, repair equipment, and ensure crew and public safety.

Required: high school diploma or GED, two years of experience operating and servicing heavy equipment, and a valid Texas Class A CDL with tanker endorsement. Typical schedule Monday–Thursday 7:00 am–5:30 pm.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Two years of experience operating and servicing heavy duty construction equipment.
• Valid Texas Class A CDL with tanker endorsement is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to install and repair water, wastewater, and storm drain lines.
• Prepare machinery, perform preventative maintenance, and repair equipment as needed.
• Direct traffic when required and ensure site and crew safety.
• Assist with street repairs, operate street equipment, maintain vehicles, and document work.
• Interact with City employees and residents; provide direction to other employees as needed.
