The City of Rhome, Texas, seeks a Public Works Technician to support Water Distribution/Wastewater, Streets, Parks and Building Maintenance. The role requires performing daily operations, responding to after-hours emergencies, and following safety rules.

Overtime and on-call duties are common in this full-time position. Responsibilities include reading meters, performing repairs, and assisting with construction tasks under supervision.

Competenze

• Knowledge of public utility maintenance principles, practices and equipment.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety rules and requirements.
• Ability to read plans, schematics and specifications.
• Ability to perform maintenance/repair work orders and communicate clearly.

• Performs daily operations of Water/WW field work and related maintenance.
• Conducts utility maintenance and repairs with needed tools and materials.
• Inspects water lines and sewer pipes; reads meters and assists in construction tasks.
