Job summary

TRWD in Texas is seeking a skilled ROW/maintenance worker to support pipelines and floodway upkeep. The role requires operating and maintaining equipment, performing vegetation control, and coordinating with district personnel.

Responsibilities include driving, hauling, data entry for work orders, after-hours emergencies, and safety compliance; occasional fieldwork in remote areas; overtime and on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Texas driver’s license required.
• Experience with hand tools (hammers, wrenches, drills, impacts).
• Ability to work overtime.
• Ability to operate 4-wheel drive pickup and pull a trailer.
• Experience hauling and backing utility trailers.
• Ability to safely operate chainsaws and woodchippers.

Responsibilities

• Perform vegetation maintenance, fencing, and carpentry on pipelines/ROW.
• Travel long distances to remote areas with minimal supervision.
• Haul materials and equipment for projects.
• Drive/operate equipment such as dump trucks and boats.
• Use chainsaws and woodchippers to clear areas.
• Perform data entry on work orders and timekeeping.
• Maintain and inspect equipment; uphold safety standards.
