Job summary

City of Weslaco is seeking a Water Distribution Operator to supervise and perform maintenance, repair, and construction on the city's water distribution system. The role includes operating a backhoe and excavator for water line work.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate backhoe and excavator for water line installation and repair.
• Repair water and sewer leaks as needed.
• Install new service lines for residential and commercial properties.
• Maintain water distribution and pumping system, including hydrants.
• Flushes fire hydrants when necessary.
• Assist with emergency response for city needs.
