The City of Pearland, TX is seeking to hire a full-time Engineer I to lead and improve aspects of the day-to-day operations of our Engineering and Public Works department within our Capital Projects division. This is a customer-facing, fast-paced role where you will contribute to project delivery and system improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field required
• Minimum 1 year of engineering design experience and 2 years of project management experience

Responsibilities

• Leads and improves day-to-day operations of Engineering and Public Works in the Capital Projects division
• Reviews plans, supporting permit and construction activities, and coordinates with stakeholders
• Manages project scope, budget, schedule, and risk for CIP projects
• Liaisons with citizens regarding concerns and project updates
• Prepares regular project updates for internal and external stakeholders
