Job summary

Civil Science, Inc. seeks a Public Works Division Manager in North Dakota to lead project teams and drive growth. You’ll report to the Area Manager and oversee PMs, engineers and surveyors, delivering technical excellence and strong client relationships across the ND public works market.

The role demands a licensed civil engineer with leadership experience, travel across ND and potential neighboring states, and a track record of managing budgets, staff development, and winning proposals.

Qualifications

• ND PE license is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• 12+ years in public works and civil infra projects (water, sewer, storm sewer, land development).
• Proven ability to develop revenue-generating client relationships in ND public works.
• Strong communication, organization and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel across North Dakota and surrounding states.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction for the public works division and align with company goals.
• Lead division planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance tracking.
• Drive quality, risk management and safety compliance at division level.
• Mentor staff and manage hiring and performance programs.
• Represent Civil Science in municipal, regional and state forums.
• Lead business development and oversee proposals and client relationships.
