Job summary

Civil Science in Dickinson, ND seeks a seasoned Survey Division Manager to lead and grow our North Dakota survey program. You will set the division strategy, oversee budgets and schedules, ensure safety and quality, and represent the firm in state forums.

This role favors a North Dakota PLS license but is not mandatory, requires 12+ years of surveying, and a proven ability to grow revenue in ND. You’ll mentor staff, travel as needed, and participate in our ESOP-owned culture.

Qualifications

• ND Professional Land Surveyor license preferred but not mandatory.
• 12+ years of surveying experience with strong technical depth.
• Proven ability to develop and sustain revenue-generating client relationships in the North Dakota surveying market.
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Ability to travel across North Dakota and surrounding states.
• Experience overseeing multi-project delivery.
• Proven ability to lead teams and mentor staff.
• Knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, quality control, and resource planning.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction for the ND survey division aligned with company goals.
• Lead division planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking.
• Drive division-level quality, risk management, and safety compliance.
• Develop staff through mentoring, hiring, and performance management.
• Represent Civil Science in municipal, regional, and state forums.
