Job summary

Civil Science is seeking a Transportation Design Division Manager to lead and grow the transportation design practice in North Dakota. The role requires relocation or residence in North Dakota and entails leadership, client contact, and business development across multiple projects.

The ideal candidate is a licensed engineer with 10+ years in transportation design, capable of guiding project managers and staff, while ensuring QA/QC and quality project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license for North Dakota required.
• 10+ years of experience in transportation design or related infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Transportation Design Division, including project managers and design staff.
• Oversee multiple transportation design projects, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget performance.
• Serve as a senior client contact for transportation-related work.
• Support and drive business development efforts, including client relationships and pursuits.
• Collaborate with leadership to grow the transportation division and expand market presence.
• Mentor and develop staff, fostering a strong team culture and technical excellence.
• Ensure consistent application of QA/QC processes and high-quality project delivery.
• Balance strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in project oversight.
