Job summary

Civil Science, a 40-year employee-owned engineering and surveying firm, seeks a Survey Division Manager to lead and expand the ND survey program. You will drive strategy, oversee delivery, mentor staff, and build relationships with public agencies and clients.

Ideal candidates bring 12+ years of surveying experience, a North Dakota PLS license (preferred), and a proven ability to grow revenue while ensuring quality and safety on active construction sites.

Qualifications

• ND PLS license preferred but not mandatory.
• 12+ years of surveying experience with strong technical depth.
• Proven ability to develop and sustain revenue-generating client relationships in the North Dakota surveying market.
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Ability to travel and meet client needs throughout North Dakota and potentially in surrounding states.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction for the survey division that is aligned with company goals.
• Lead division level planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking.
• Drive division-level quality, risk management, and safety compliance.
• Develop staff through mentoring, hiring, and company performance management programs.
• Represent Civil Science in municipal, regional, and state forums and industry organizations.
