Job summary

Town of Wake Forest is seeking a Construction Worker II to join the Public Works team. The role involves semi-skilled street maintenance, sidewalk and drainage work, and operation of light to heavy equipment in a dynamic town environment.

You will join a collaborative team, contribute to safety-focused daily tasks, and participate in snow removal and project work as needed. A valid NC CDL-A with Tanker endorsement is required.

Qualifications

• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to high school graduation with some related construction work experience.
• Possession of a valid North Carolina Driver License - CDL Class “A” with Class "N" Tanker endorsement.
• Traffic Zone Flagging Certification.

Responsibilities

• Patch potholes, utility cuts, and resurface streets as part of a crew.
• Assist with construction and repair of sidewalks, curb and gutter, and driveways.
• Operate heavy equipment and drive dump trucks to load and haul materials.
• Perform maintenance on storm drains and street signs.
• Participate in snow removal and large public works projects.
