Job summary

Town of Wake Forest is seeking a full-time Facilities Maintenance Worker to perform skilled trades in maintaining Town buildings, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and masonry. You will work on a variety of projects and respond to maintenance requests across Town facilities.

Under the guidance of the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor and Facilities Director, you will troubleshoot issues, perform preventative maintenance, inspect systems, and complete work orders while upholding the

Qualifications

• Considerable knowledge of the construction trades of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and perform repairs.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance on a prescribed schedule.
• Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with customers.
• Ability to perform heavy manual work over long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots mechanical, plumbing, and electrical problems and either repair or seeks other solutions.
• Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment on an assigned schedule.
• Inspects and repairs all plumbing facilities.
• Maintains and orders shop supplies and parts.
• Completes work orders.
