Job summary

Halff Associates, Inc. is seeking a Public Works Intern for our Fayetteville, AR office to support Civil Engineering projects in Public Works and Transportation. The internship runs June 7 through August 13, 2027, with a full-time schedule of 40 hours/week, typically 8am-5pm. Housing is not provided. Salary is paid hourly.

You will design projects under supervision, assist with plans and cost estimates, perform CAD drafting, and coordinate with professionals and clients.

Qualifications

Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering.
Great communication skills.
Solid relationship and team-building skills.
Self-motivated and organized.

Responsibilities

Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer.
Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Public Works and Transportation projects.
Perform drafting CAD work.
Perform calculations and analysis for design projects.
Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents.
Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors.
Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.
