Job summary

Halff Associates, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern in Shreveport, LA to assist our Public Works/Transportation team. The internship runs June 7, 2027 to August 13, 2027, with full-time hours and hourly pay.

Responsibilities include design under a Professional Engineer, plans and cost estimates, drafting CAD work, and regulatory documentation. Ideal candidates are pursuing a civil engineering degree with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering or ABET-equivalent degree.
Strong communication skills are essential for coordination with teams and clients.
Self-motivated with good organizational skills and the ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

Design civil engineering projects under supervision of a Professional Engineer.
Assist in preparing plans, specs, and cost estimates for Public Works and Transportation projects.
Perform drafting CAD work as part of project delivery.
Perform calculations and analysis for design projects.
Assist in preparing permit applications and regulatory documents.
Coordinate with surveyors, architects, and contractors.
Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.
