Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. is seeking a diligent janitor to perform cleaning in assigned buildings, ensuring a clean, sanitary, and orderly environment.

Responsibilities include high dusting, sanitizing surfaces, bathroom cleaning, trash removal, floor care, and grounds maintenance, with emphasis on customer service and safety. The role requires following instructions, operating cleaning equipment, and complying with MSDS chemical instructions.

Qualifications

• Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Sufficiently communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
• Operate powered and non-powered janitorial equipment.
• Interpret written instructions and warning labels on cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• High dusting around room and fixtures.
• Sanitize and spot clean surfaces below shoulder height.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms and replace supplies.
• Empty trash, wipe cans and line liners.
• Dust mop and vacuum, clean floors under furniture.
• Maintain grounds and outdoor areas, clean sidewalks and benches.
• Dust mop and spot mop main hallways; ensure glass and planters are clean.
• Clean and sanitize food court tables; manage trash and trays.
• Sanitize floors and back away from room edges.
• Inspect room to ensure cleanliness and proper placement of furniture.
• Maintain courteous customer service and report issues to supervisor.
