Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. is seeking a reliable janitorial assistant to perform a variety of cleaning tasks across assigned facilities. You will dust, sanitize, clean bathrooms, empty trash, and maintain common areas to ensure a sanitary environment.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to follow instructions, and the capability to operate cleaning equipment. You will also support grounds and food court cleanup as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of janitorial work.
• Familiar with cleaning methods, materials and equipment.
• Awareness of safe work practices.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Able to operate powered and non-powered janitorial equipment.
• Able to lift/carry 1–30 lbs and maneuver equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform high dusting around the room focusing on surfaces above shoulder height.
• Sanitize and spot clean surfaces around room, including ledges, chairs, and countertops.
• Clean bathrooms with germicidal solution following required sequence.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners as needed.
• Dust mop and vacuum floors, clean under furniture, and reach behind doors.
• Polish floors or carpets as required and maintain public areas.
• Clean outdoor grounds and monitor cleanliness of sidewalks and benches.
• Maintain cleanliness in food court areas, including sanitizing tables and removing trash.
• Inspect room after cleaning to ensure proper results and report issues.
