Job summary

Qualifications

• Basic operations of janitorial work.
• Basic methods, materials and equipment used in janitorial work.
• Basic safe work practices.
• The use of toxic and non-toxic chemicals (per MSDS sheets).

Responsibilities

• High dusting around the room including lights, vents and ledges.
• Sanitizing surfaces below shoulder height and removing fingerprints from knobs and walls.
• Clean bathrooms with germicidal solution in prescribed order.
• Empty trash cans; replace liners.
• Dust mop and vacuum; clean under furniture; back-to-front cleaning.
• Care for grounds and exterior areas; police sidewalks and parking lot for trash.
• Clean public common areas; ensure glass is cleaned and planters free of bird waste.
• Food court area: clean tables, remove trash, wash trays.
• Sanitize floors from back of room and behind doors.
• Review room after cleaning and ensure proper arrangement.
• Customer relations: knock, be courteous, report issues, keep noise down, attire neat.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
