Job summary

The Village of Hinsdale seeks a Crew Worker to perform maintenance and repair tasks across Public Services divisions, including roadway, water/sewer, forestry and parks. You may rotate through multiple areas to support street, park and utility operations.

Responsibilities include road repairs, snow removal, landscaping, and operation of equipment such as loaders, backhoes and mowers. A high school diploma and valid IL CDL are required, with overtime availability for emergencies.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
• Two to three years maintenance work experience preferred.
• Ability to operate and maintain a variety of public works equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs streets and roadways including asphalt and concrete work.
• Performs snow and ice removal from streets and sidewalks.
• Maintains parks, plantings and landscape treatments and ensures safety.
• Inspects water/sewer pumps, meters and valves for repairs and operation.
• Responds to inquiries, emergencies and service requests.
