Job summary

The Village of Orland Park Public Works Streets Department is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Worker to perform general maintenance and construction tasks on Village roadways and related appurtenances. Duties include snow removal during winter and assisting with signage, sidewalk inspections, and basic equipment care.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED and a valid Illinois driver's license (Non-CDL).

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Valid Illinois Driver’s License (Non-CDL).
• Experience with cleaning and snow removal techniques.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform semi-skilled maintenance and construction tasks on Village roadways.
• Remove temporary signs and debris from Village property.
• Assist with sidewalk inspections and signage replacement.
• Perform non-CDL snow removal activities including plowing and shoveling.
• Operate and maintain basic custodial tasks and vehicle cleaning.
