Job summary

Cobb County Government is seeking a Part-Time Public Services Technician III in Marietta, GA, within the Community Development's Business License Division. You will greet visitors, handle inquiries, collect payments, and issue receipts while ensuring accurate accounts and timely billings.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and four years of customer service or cashiering experience. A keyboarding skills test will be administered after qualification.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors, answer telephones, and assist customers, citizens and taxpayers; provide information on Cobb County services, programs, policies and procedures.
• Receive, record, and prepare receipts for payments for utilities, fines, fees, taxes, licenses, and other unit-specific charges; input bank draft information and maintain related documentation.
• Assist staff or customers in resolving disputes or conflicts concerning payments, fees, or penalties; coordinate with other departments to research and resolve issues.
• Establish and maintain manual and automated customer account records; process service connections/disconnections and prepare work orders.
• Prepare and mail billings and payment reminders; monitor delinquencies and perform follow-up to bring accounts current.
• Perform money management functions including cash drawer balancing, daily tallies, and daily bank deposits.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
