The State of Maine, Department of the Secretary of State, Bureau of Motor Vehicles in Augusta seeks a Customer Representative Associate II to process driver examinations statewide. You will assist the public and 13 branch offices with exam scheduling, application processing, and regulatory compliance, including CDL/FMCSA standards.

Qualifications

• Training, education, or experience in office and administrative support that demonstrates knowledge of customer service to assist the public with applications, fees, examinations, or social services with eligibility or compliance components.
• Ability to use independent decision-making on processes, information, and actions per standard procedures.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service via phone, email, and in person, including inquiries and issue resolution.
• Review and process applications, verify documentation, ensure regulatory compliance.
• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel exams with accurate records.
• Perform daily CDLIS checks and verify FMCSA-certified medical requirements.
• Communicate with driving schools and support internal branch operations.
