Job summary

Rockland Trust is seeking a Relationship Manager in our Investment Management Group to support municipal and public sector clients across our footprint. The role will build strong local relationships and deliver coordinated investment management and advisory services.

You will partner with internal advisors and banking partners to tailor strategies, ensure regulatory compliance, and expand the bank’s presence in the public sector, with a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
• 5–10 years of experience in investment management, treasury services, public finance, or municipal relationship management.
• Demonstrated experience working with municipal or public sector clients preferred.
• Strong knowledge of fixed income markets, cash management strategies, and public fund investment regulations.
• Proven ability to build and sustain long‑term client relationships and act as a fiduciary advisor.
• Excellent communication skills with boards, committees, and public stakeholders.
• Familiarity with RFP processes and public procurement practices preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CFP®, CFA, CTFA or related credentials are a plus.
• Proficient in MS Excel and ability to reconcile account flows with client statements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with municipal clients, including towns, cities, school districts, utilities, and other public entities.
• Serve as a trusted advisor, understanding each client’s investment policy, cash flow needs, regulatory constraints, and risk tolerance.
• Deliver customized investment strategies and portfolio management solutions for public funds.
• Collaborate with Investment Management Group specialists and banking partners to provide integrated solutions.
• Support new business development, including responding to RFPs and building relationships with key municipal decision-makers.
• Monitor portfolio performance and provide regular reporting, reviews, and education to clients.
• Stay current on municipal investment regulations and market trends, ensuring compliance and proactive communication.
• Oversee day‑to‑day administration of municipal investment accounts with accuracy and high standards.
