Job summary

Rockland Trust, a Massachusetts-based full-service financial institution, seeks a Relationship Manager in the Investment Management Group to serve municipal clients across the footprint. This role focuses on investment management, advisory services, and regulatory understanding, with a hybrid in-market presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
• 5–10 years of investment management, treasury services, public finance, or municipal relationship experience.
• Experience with municipal/public sector clients preferred.
• Strong knowledge of fixed income markets, cash management, and public fund regulations.
• Ability to build long-term client relationships and act as fiduciary advisor.
• Excellent communication for boards and public stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain municipal client relationships (towns, cities, districts, utilities).
• Serve as trusted advisor on investment policy, cash flow, regulations, and risk.
• Deliver customized investment strategies for public funds and fiduciary standards.
• Collaborate with Investment Management Group and banking partners for integrated solutions.
• Support new business development, respond to RFPs, and engage decision-makers.
• Monitor portfolio performance; provide regular reviews and education to clients.
• Stay current on municipal regulations and market trends; ensure compliance.
• Oversee day-to-day administration of municipal investment accounts.
• Maintain documentation of client interactions and decisions.
