Job summary

Mission Measurement seeks a highly capable Consulting Manager to support public-sector clients in shifting toward outcomes-focused, evidence-informed approaches. You will lead engagements with federal agencies and state governments, translate analytics into practical strategies, and guide funding decisions with senior stakeholders.

You’ll operate with autonomy in a small, growing team, mentoring analysts and shaping client delivery while collaborating with leadership from the start.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of experience in management consulting, professional services, or advisory roles.
• Direct experience with federal agencies, state governments, or public funding bodies.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving with action orientation.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for senior audiences.
• Experience managing complex projects and client relationships.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ownership and execution.
• Even better if you have nonprofit/social sector familiarity.
• Experience in outcomes measurement, evaluation, or grantmaking is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements end-to-end, translating goals into strategic frameworks and actionable recommendations.
• Guide public-sector clients through changes to funding strategy and performance management.
• Manage project plans, timelines, and team members to ensure high-quality delivery under deadlines.
• Produce polished, client-ready deliverables that synthesize analysis into insights for senior leaders.
• Mentor analysts and contribute to proposals and thought leadership for public-sector growth.
