Job summary

Project Evident seeks a Director, Evidence for Outcomes to lead client engagements, strengthen MEL practices, and guide a growing team. The role emphasizes building funder relationships, delivering high‑quality work on time and within budget, and advancing evidence‑building in education and workforce sectors.

The successful candidate will drive business development, contribute to thought leadership, and promote a culture of belonging and accountability within a hybrid Boston‑area role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years in philanthropy, education, workforce, nonprofit leadership, evaluation, strategy consulting, or related fields.
• 5–7+ years of people management experience, including managing and developing managers; in a consulting context with systems improvement and service-delivery innovation.
• Experience with foundations, grantmaking, portfolio strategy, MEL, and funder-facing work.

Responsibilities

• Lead philanthropic client engagements and nonprofits to strengthen evidence and MEL functions; steward portfolios.
• Scope engagements, manage project teams, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Build and maintain relationships with funders and education/workforce partners; serve as primary relationship manager.
• Oversee research, reporting, and field-facing content; contribute to tools and frameworks.
