Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Administration, or related field.
  • Two years of full-time paid experience in labor relations (contract administration) required.
  • Familiarity with the grievance process.
  • Public sector/labor relations experience preferred.
  • Valid State of Ohio driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the resolution of labor problems and issues.
  • Provide contract interpretations as needed.
  • Serve as departmental representative at grievance hearings/meetings.
  • Assist with labor contract negotiations.
  • Monitor administration of labor contracts for consistency and compliance.
  • Assist with policy development and training.
  • Assist with EEO complaints and investigations and disciplinary conferences.
  • Identify revisions of policy, strategy, and training based on investigations.
  • Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as required by the Senior Labor Relations Officer.
